Welcome to my archives! 

    These archives represent a peak into my everyday life and what I do. The majority of photos that will be shown are my cozy friends who I hang out the most with. I also have photos of my family and friends along with places and things I have done. Although this pass year has been tough with Covid I try and look at the brighter side of thing and smile. These people, places and things I have chosen to photograph make me happy because each one has a story behind it.

               Hello everyone! In today’s blog post I will be discussing oral history. You may ask yourself “what is oral history?” Well, oral history can have different meanings but the definition is the collection and study of historical information using sound recordings of interviews with people having personal knowledge of past events. Oral history plays a big part in history because instead of reading the information provided it can be helpful but listening to someone describe the past events gives you a better understanding. You can hear the person's tone of voice of the interviewer and the interviewee and hear how they feel about the questions being asked. Meet the face behind the post!

     Hello! My name is Vanessa Klein and I am nineteen years old. I am half Puerto Rican and half Italian. I am currently a sophomore and Criminal Justice major at St. Francis College. I love painting and spending time with my family and friends. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life with my parents, sister, and a little puppy named Porter. I have only gone to Catholic school all my life and I went to an all-girls high school that is unfortunately closed down. Since that has happened it changed my life and it has impacted my decisions I make today.  I really enjoy traveling and one of my favorite places I have been to is Aruba in the Caribbean. I love taking little road trips with my family to Atlantic City and Cape May in New Jersey. This is the first time I am creating a blog and I am so excited. Learn About Archives With Me!

     Hi everyone! In today’s entry, I will be discussing archives. When I first started searching for an archive it’s important to find one that is interesting to you. At first, I had no idea what an archive was and I have never done anything like it before. Once I started to get a glimpse of archives, I started by typing in “National Archives” into Google to find a broad variety of different ones. You may ask yourself what is an archive? An archive online can be a visual representation of a collection of historical documents or records including information about a place, institution, or group of people.
